  1. Hanging the shelving would take 3 or four hours. The caulking shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes but the floor repairs are more difficult to determine without seeing the work.

  2. A Job Like this would be about 460.00. Cost of wood and a day Labour. If painting is involved for the walls and shelfs then you would need to add another 295.00 for an extra day of work.

  3. how much labor cost to hang 3 wood shelves. 6 feet long, with metal l brackets for support ? on a plaster wall with wood laith behind plaster.

  4. Labor only you’ll probably spend as much as two hours to install the shelves. Although the actual work may take less time than that, travel time may be a consideration.

  5. Typical cost for us IMHO.

Closet organizers can run about $7.00 to $15.00 a lft

Depending on complexities and materials which includes labor

On the other hand if your having to build a custom organizer then the cost can run up to $18.00 to $25.00 a lft . Labor and materials .

That’s how I bid it , unless its from a big box store then I offer an hourly rate . If customer provides all materials .

    • what would be a fair price for labor . i have a new home. want to double my hanging space. Closets have one single rubbermaid wire shelf system for clothes. Need it moved up, fill and paint holes. install second one on lower level. Two 5ft x 3ft and large walk in closet. I will buy the materials.

  6. Room Closet: Installing 2 heavy duty wire shelves. Changing old light fixture to a motion sensor light inside closet, painting inside closet, replacing old wood sliding door with new ones, caulking 3-4 spots and laying a carpet runner for the floor. Customer is purchasing all materials. Just need fair labor cost. Thank you.

Closet Dimensions: 5 1/2 ft. long by 2 1/2 ft. wide.

What would a fair price be?
